Our Ministry
Along the way, God has also built an incredible team. In 2021, we joined Ron and Susan Taylor in the mission to plant five churches in each of the five boroughs. In 2025, Jerra Jividen, Gabe, and Ally Laidlaw joined the team, continuing to build what God is doing here. It has been incredible to see how God continues to call people to be part of this ministry, and we are expectant for those who will join in the coming year.
In the past five years, we’ve seen God do what only He can do. We’ve witnessed salvations, baptisms, and lives completely transformed. We’ve watched people come in broken and searching, and leave with hope, purpose, and a growing relationship with Jesus. We’ve had the privilege of walking with people through some of the most important moments of their lives praying with them, celebrating with them, and watching God rewrite their stories. What started small has grown into multiple churches across New York City.
Redeeming Grace was the beginning, and we’ve since seen God raise it up into an autonomous work that continues to reach people and make an impact. From there, Connect Rockaway Beach Church was launched, followed by Connect Rego Park in 2023, and later that same year, Lefferts Park Baptist Church. Each location has its own unique community, but they all share the same heart to see people encounter Jesus and grow in their faith.
This ministry has never been about us it’s about what God can do through surrendered lives.
As we look back, we are filled with gratitude for every life changed and every story we’ve had the honor to be a part of.
We’ve also seen God answer long-awaited prayers in powerful ways. In April of 2025, Crystal, who had been part of Rockaway Beach Church from the beginning, made the decision to follow Jesus and was baptized after many conversations and much prayer. Then in December of 2025, her daughter Sophia gave her life to Jesus and was baptized a story that had been unfolding through over 10 years of prayer as God worked through their family. These moments remind us that God is always working, and that no prayer is ever wasted.
And we truly believe He is just getting started.
